Prior to joining NorthgateArinso, Geoff worked for 20 years in local government, spending the last 10 years in various senior management positions covering all aspects of HR Management. During this time Geoff built up an extensive network of contacts at a national, regional and local level in all areas of the public sector and regularly works with national advisory bodies on aspects of Reward Management. He was previously the Chair of the South West Region of the PPPMA, an organisation of senior HR professionals in the public sector and central government.
Geoff’s experience includes a detailed knowledge of a number of job evaluation schemes, including Hay and the various schemes used in local government. He is also experienced is undertaking Equality Impact Assessments and Equal Pay Audits and has completed audits for a variety of organisations across the public sector including local government, further and higher education, Police Forces and Housing Associations.
Based on his experience of working with individual organisations, Geoff regularly discusses the outcomes and sector issues with various national employers’ organisations.
Part of Geoff’s role is also to meet with new clients and organisations to identify requirements and develop solutions based on consultancy support supported by software solutions where necessary.
